Weight Training: Dumbbell Step Up

This movement is the dumbbell step up. When setting up for this the athlete should maintain a flat back and a tight core as they move from one leg to the other. It is important to achieve full hip extension with the leg that maintains contact with the box and full hip flexion with the opposing leg. Additionally, they should try to maintain vertical arms so that the weights don't swing back and forward as they move from the ground position to the box position.
