Weight Training: Barbell Step Up



This movement is the barbell step up. You will want to make sure when setting up for this movement that the athlete can comfortably reach the height of the box without having to lose stability. The bar should be placed along the upper traps maintaining a neutral spine and engaged core and achieving full hip extension with the leg that is on the box and full hip flexion with the opposite leg.
