Triple Jump: 2 Step Hop Phase Drill
This is a 2 step hop phase drill in the triple jump. In this particular drill, there are only 4 steps being used. The first cone is knocked down in order for the athlete to have a visual cue of not jumping to high on the hop phase, rather running through the hop phase. Into the step phase, the athlete should hammer throw straight down with their foot pushing vertical on the step phase using big muscle groups and firing through the glute as opposed to pulling with the hamstring.
