Shot Put: Swivel Hips Drill
The swivel hips drill teaches glide shot put throwers how to be active and pull the right foot underneath in a pre-turned position in the center of the ring. Use a line so the athlete can see the right foot from zero degrees to about 90-degrees underneath the athletes center of mass. Keep the knee flexed and stay low during the drill.
