Shot Put: Ramp Drill
The shot put ramp drill is used for athletes that struggle with rolling off the heel with the glide technique. A small A-frame ramp can be used, or a plate. The toe elevated and the heel already on the ground. This teaches the athlete to push off the ball of the foot, but roll off the heel, enabling them to drive straight across the circle.
