Shot Put: Drop and Drive Drill
The drop and drive drill teaches the glide shot put throwers how to load the back leg properly in the back of the ring. Notice the athlete lowers the center of mass on the right leg matching the knees together. Once the knees match the weight is dropped and try to drive powerfully across the circle. The weight should vary depending on the age and level of experience of the athlete.
