This is a standing pole drop left punch only. This drill is used for beginning level athletes. A very common problem is that an athlete wants to plant the pole by sliding the left hand forward and down into the box. The proper movement is actually the exact opposite of that. As the pole tip is dropping, we're actually using our left hand as a fulcrum and as the tip drops down towards the ground, we are pushing our left hand straight up into the air.
