This is a three step lead leg drill. This drill teaches the athlete to lead with the knee, actively bring the lead leg down quickly on the back side of the hurdle. Note the athlete should not throw the foot to the top of the hurdle. Often athletes throw the foot and have a straight lead leg. There should be a slight bend in the left knee. The athlete is getting the lead foot to the ground as quickly as possible on the back side of the hurdle.
