How to Long Jump: Gallop Run Take Off Drill
This long jump gallop run take off drill is used to teach long jumpers how to be at the penultimate step in the takeoff. Notice this left foot jumper is actively pushing through the right foot galloping for approximately 10 meters, running for four steps or approximately 10 meters and then having a very quick push through the penultimate and quick take off into the long jump pit.
