How to High Jump: Box Scissor Jump Drill

This is a short approach off of a two box scissor jump, a drill used in the high jump. This drill is used to promote the athlete keeping their hips on the rise. The first box is 4 inches in height, while the second is 8 inches in height, with roughly 2-3 feet of distance in between. The athlete should focus on keeping the right shoulder higher than the left, teaching them how to stay upright in their posture through the take off.
