High Jump: Back Flip

This is a back flip that can be taught to high jumpers to develop kinesthetic awareness. High jumpers should be comfortable being upside with their head below the center of mass with their body. This is a progression drill that should be completed only after having learned the technique with a spotter. This exercise should only be performed on a soft surface, such as the high jump pit.
