This is a segmented full-line drill with a cone, a drill used in the discus. This drill teaches the athlete to turn away from the implement, effectively putting the entire rotation of the discus throw together. The drill teaches the athlete to feel the shift of their weight out of the back of the circle while keeping the left arm long, running the hips down the line, landing with the feet in the appropriate power position.
