Discus: Powerball South African in Circle
This is a powerball South African drill, a drill used in the discus performed from the discus circle. This drill teaches the athlete to land actively with their right foot in the middle, getting the left foot down quickly. This also teaches the athlete how to move out of the back of the circle with the athlete focusing on keeping the right leg wide and leading to the middle of the circle with their inner thigh. Once the right foot touches the ground, the athlete should focus on actively turning the right foot, getting the left foot down quickly, and then chasing with the arm.
