Discus: Powerball South African Drill
This is a powerball South African drill, a drill used in the discus performed into the side of a discus cage. This is a progression drill that teaches the athlete to learn to land on the right foot actively, keeping the weight on the right foot while turning it in the middle of the circle. This drill allows for an athlete to perform many repetitions focusing on landing on the right foot with a bent right leg, actively turning the right foot and hip before starting to chase with the upper body.
