The 30 meter block start with a clap start is the final stage of development in the sprint acceleration training. Athletes should focus on proper mechanics and technique. Athletes should have a quality drive phase, which why the cone is at a 30 meter distance. This distance will shorten based on the strength levels and age of the athlete. A stronger athlete will be able to elongate the drive phase.
