Beginning Level Pole Vaulting: One Step Wall Plant Drill

This is a one-step wall plant drill with a pole vault pole use for beginning level pole vaulters. It's important for the athlete to feel the pressure of the pole pushing upward with the left hand. The athlete also needs to feel the sensation of the right hand going back behind their head. The athlete is focusing on driving the right knee and keeping their left leg back behind them. Be certain to use a small enough pole so that the athlete can bend it and feel the sensation of loading the pole.
