TRACKWIRED POWER RANKINGS 1-31-18
In week 2 of the Trackwired state rankings Pennsylvania increased their boys lead behind the strong sprinting of Austin Kratz of Doc Mennonite High School. The senior nearly broke the state meet record held by Brady Gehret in 2010. Along with his 200 meter time, Kratz has also posted an impressive 300m time of 33.77 to help expand the lead of the Quaker state over New Jersey, Ohio and Texas giving chase as the best High School Boys Track state in the 2, 3, and 4 spots.
On the girl’s side, New York continues to hold the lead by the slimmest of margins .913 to .911 in the power rankings over the state of Texas. Leading the charge for the Empire State is super senior Lanae-Tava Thomas. The USC bound senior has state leading marks in the 55m, 200m, 300m and long jump. Her 21’8” long jump mark ranks number 2 all time in US high school rankings and would currently be ranked #2 in the NCAA and World!
