Weight Training: Power Step Up
This is movement is the power step up. It is a ballistic movement that when done properly will train power and explosiveness in each leg independently. It is important when performing this movement that the athlete keep their entire foot on top of the box to prevent the box from tipping as well as keep the top leg straight while in the air to allow the athlete to absorb the force when returning to the ground.
