This movement is the hang clean. This is a great tool to help develop hip power in athletes, as all of the muscles of the posterior chain are involved. When setting up for this movement, the athlete should stand up with the bar first and lower the bar slightly above the knees before beginning the movement. The athlete should also try to catch the bar with their elbows high and the bar resting across their shoulders.
