This is a basic long jump short approach runway work drill, using a ten step approach. At this point you should have already developed the distance off of the runway on the track. Notice the cones are set up here for visual cues for the athlete to know how far to drive on those first few steps, then that transition up, and then the turnover from the last set of the cones all the way to the long jump board. The athlete does a good job of getting in a nice upright position it take off and is consistent with their mark.
