Hurdle Technique: Skip Trail Leg Drill
The hurdle skip drill is used to focus on pulling the right trail leg through. Athletes should train both sides of the body, especially 400 hurdlers. Keep a tight trail leg, with the foot directly behind the knee and pulling the knee into the armpit. Actively push the trail leg down on the back side of the hurdle.

The hurdle skip trail leg drill teaches athletes the proper trail leg technique. The athlete should have the right foot slightly in front of the hurdle, promoting pulling through the left trail leg. Create a window with the left arm and pull the knee into the armpit through the window.
