How to Hurdle: Skip Drills Right and Left Lead Leg

The hurdle skip drill with a right leg lead is the may be the opposite lead leg for some athletes. Athletes should train both sides of the body, especially 400 meter hurdlers. Lead with the knee, then push the lead foot down actively on the back side of the hurdle.

The left leg lead skip drill teaches athletes to have an active lead leg. Promoting pushing the lead foot down on the back side of the hurdle. Focus on leading with the knee then pushing the lead foot down actively after the top of the hurdle.
